Lee Sungmin is known as a singer and dancer of Super Junior. He signed a contract with SM Entertainment to recieve training for singing, dancing, and acting in 2001. He then met Eunhyuk whom he spent most of his time as a trainee with.

          Sungmin was then placed in Super Junior 05 along with Eunhyuk. He spent a lot of his time learning new instruments and was quickly becoming a "fangirl favorite" due to his youthful face.

          Nowadays Sungmin is somewhat bothered by the "cutey" image he had before. He enjoyed it in the beginning because it was something he never knew he'd be good at, but now it gets old. He wants to be taken a little bit more seriously now that he's reaching almost 30 years of age. He is not the same person that he used to be. He has grown as a person, and the baby image he had isn't something he wants to hold onto anymore. Yet, people still refer to him as such names like "Aegyo King" (aegyo in Korean meaning cutesy in a little kid way) even though his fellow members have said he is the toughest member and the scariest person to be around when he is angry.

          Recently rumors of Sungmin enlisting in the military soon have been confirmed as true. He will work as an officer later on this year and will return in 2016 on a day that has not yet been set. Fans are bracing themselves for the day where, yet another member must leave for a whole two years.
