Super
Junior

Kim Youngwoon, or Kangin, is best known as a singer and the toughest member of Super Junior. He trained with the other members and before debut, the name Kangin, meaning "strong benevolence," was selected for him.
He usually talks the most and is the most comfortable on tv shows and interviews. During Super Junior's early years, Kangin struggles to stick out from the other members, and was constantly under a lot of stress and pressure. He used to drink a lot to make up for this. In 2009, Kangin was arrested for fighting two men in an attempt of self-defense but was let go because it was proven that he was trying to defend himself.
One month later, Kangin collided with an empty, parked taxi after drinking and then left the scene. Five hours later, he turned himself in to the police and the incident was labeled as a hit and run. In order for him to get himself together, all of his events were cancelled for the rest of the year and he enlisted in the military until 2012 when he rejoined Super Junior.
