Ryeowook is best known as one of the three most powerful singers in Super Junior. Ryeowook impressed SM Entertainment with his incredible singing abilities after being discovered through the CMB Youth Chin Chin festival in 2004. He spent most of his time studying music composition and vocal training, although he also trained in dancing and acting. He often plays piano accompaniment for his fellow members during shows.

          Ryeowook was the last member of Super Junior added (before Kyuhyun was added 1 year later) and had only been a trainee with Super Junior for a few weeks before debut.

          In 2006, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Comedic Performance for his role in Attack On The Pin Up Boys.

          He has the highest voice in Super Junior and can even hit high notes as high as a soprano voice can.
